The Executive Secretary of the CMI, Geraldo Macedo, was in London, between the 12th and 13th of December, at the invitation of a group of confederated Grand Lodges to our Confederation, to attend the Quarterly Communication of the United Grand Lodge of England – UGLE.
On the 12th, the delegation was received by the Pro Grand Master of GLUI, Jonathan Spence, and members of the high management, for a welcome dinner, when the Pro Grand Master was invited to participate in our Grand Assembly of CMI, to be held in Cartagena de Indias.
On the 13th, the Quarterly Communication took place, with the presence of more than 1400 members and several Masonic authorities, among which we highlight our Grand Masters, members of the CMI: Armindo Azevedo, from the Legal Grand Lodge of Portugal and President of the VI Zone from the CMI; José Fernandes Zacur, from the Symbolic Grand Lodge of Paraguay; Stefano Bisi, from the Grand Orient of Italy; Cristian Campbell, of the Grand Lodge of Honduras; Hector Vanegas y Cortez, of the Grand Lodge of Ecuador; Porfirio Flores, from the Grand Lodge of Vera Cruz; Jean-Pierre Rollet, of the French National Grand Lodge; José Sardeli Bravo, from the Grand Lodge of Venezuela; and Armando Farfan, of the Grand Lodge of Colombia.
In the Communication, we witnessed with joy the news of the recognition by UGLE of two more CMI confederates, the Grand Orient of Paraná and the Grand Orient of Rio Grande do Sul. And, at the end of it, the delegation participated in a Banquet, when they received the news that UGLE will send a representative to the next CMI Grand Assembly.
Thus, the Executive Secretariat of the CMI takes another important step in favor of the integration of Regular Freemasonry on a global scale.
